General Description: Yony is quite a disturbed boy, and given his past, its no secret as to why he is so screwed up. Boarder line suicidal, Yony is a cutter, a scratcher, a hitter... anything that he thinks could possibly cause him pain. There was so much pain in his past that now he needs it to function, its his own personal high. He's addicted to the endorphins that his brain releases when it recognizes pain, and Yony craves it. He's exceptionally anti-social, and doesn't talk much to other people. There is also a part of him that loves to watch other people squirm when they are in pain. He simply can't help himself.
He keeps to himself, rarely talking about himself or... well... anything. He ignores looks people give him, or the whispers that they speak, mostly about his past and how it's rumored that he killed his father. After all, why correct them? It's true. But the bastard deserved it. He isn't looking for pity or anything of that nature. He does not like physical contact, and would sooner scratch your eyes out then allow you to touch him. Or break some random bone... or your face... but you get the picture. Look, don't touch. His soul is riddled with scars, the deepest by far are tied to the memory of watching his mother be killed, and by killing his own little sister when she was still just a kid.
Yony is not the type that people would want to be friends with. Even those that he speaks to, he is always short, callous, and exceptionally rude. Don't like it? Go the fuck away. Yony doesn't need anyone, and he uses anyone dumb enough to let him. He only holds a 'friendship' so long as it is beneficial to him. Once it stops being beneficial to him, he drops the relationship like a rock into Lake Michigan. His mouth is often what got him into trouble in the past, he had a very cutting personality and doesn't give a shit who knows it. He curses, he swears, he insults, and his humor of choice is a dry sarcasm. He's exceptionally blunt and will tell you exactly the way that he sees it. He doesn't tell lies, because the truth is far more fun (also he was severely punished as a child for lying, perhaps its just ingrained within him). Yony is tough-as-nails, and he's not afraid to let anyone else know it. Don't like it? Tough.

Overview: What is it like to be a Katana? For Yony, the eldest son of Kesleigh and Corran Katana, it was a living nightmare. His first few years of childhood went by without incident, and he was left to run and play with his younger brother Sarran. Shough when he was still a young boy, just 8 years of age, his training began. His father would take him downstairs, beyond the eyes and ears of any other, and tortured him. Though it wasn't only verbal abuse, or even his father's fists that he was harmed with, but daggers, whips, poisons, acids, rape... every kind of torture imaginable, the young boy was subjected to. When he turned 10, and his father finally decided that Yony was broken, broken to a point that he would do anything to make the pain stop... Corran took Kesleigh as his pet.
For three years following, Yony was forced to watch his father torture and break his mother as he was broken. She survived it longer then Yony, wanting Yony not to be subjected to such atrocities as her husband was doing. She thought that by holding on, it would help him, though in the long run, it only hurt him. When he was 12 years old, his father murdered his mother right in front of him, breaking him for the second time by breaking his heart, teaching him to be emotionless. To have no weaknesses. Though Yony wasn't the only witness to this crime. 6 year old Kailey Katana, his little sister that he'd practically raised for the last three years, had played witness as well.
As punishment for her treachery, Corran forced Yony to take the little sister that he loved so dearly... had cared for her and protected her for three years... as his own pet. Teaching him to torture her, subject her to the worst tortures that he could think up, loath as Yony was to do it. The third breaking, the breaking of his spirit, breaking him of the horror of hurting another. Though Yony still pitied, loved his sister. After 3 years and coming home during every holiday, Yony, 16 years old now, after 3 years of torturing Kailey, watching his father raping her, starving her... he finally took matters in to his own hands... and freed her by pushing a dagger in to her heart. He whispered an apology to her as she died, and when his father found out, he was punished. Though from then on, Yony was the perfect son, until one night when he came home with a less-than-perfect grade on a test, and his father stabbed him with kitchen knife. Sarran, in fear for his brother's life, called the police. When the police arrived, they came into the kitchen to find Yony on the floor bleeding and his father holding on to his son's shirt as if to hoist him up. When the cops entered, Corran pulled the knife from his son's shoulder, and when he refused to drop his weapon, the responding police officer was forced to shoot him.
For the first time in his life, Yony was taken from the house and given medical treatment while his father underwent a series of charges, including sexual, verbal, and physical abuse charges against Yony, as well as being charged with the murders of both Kesleigh and Kailey Katana, and has now been placed in prison for life with no chance of parole after a thorough investigation, including documentation of the scars which littered Yony's form. Now, custody of he and his brother was given to his aunt and uncle. They, however, had numerous problems with Yony in school and in their own home, and it was after one day of finding Yony in the bathtub covered in numerous cuts that were freshly bleeding, they decided that they had to get help for him. And so after only a few weeks of having him, they sent him to St. Helena's school to gain the help that he needed.
Unfortunately, even they had problems with Yony. After only a few months at the school, after repeat offenses of harming other students, including one rather nasty incident in which Yony Katana and his friend Vital Sage removed the eye of another student before school staff were able to pull the boys apart. Not long after that, Yony was accused of murdering a fellow student and was sent to prison to await trial. While there, who would he run into but his father again? His father tried forcing himself upon Yony once again, but this time, Yony fought back again. Unfortunately, it ended up with Yony stumbling backwards and his head colliding with a rock in the courtyard and knocked unconcious. Before the security guards could arrive to break things up, Corran grabbed his son's head and slammed his head back against the ground hard enough to kill him.
And now... he's here. What will New Haven do now that they've got a sociopath on the loose? Who'd have thought Yony Katana would warrent a second chance?
