the rulebook
-------------------- follow these or beware the consequences
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 554455; border: #886688 solid 4px; width: 490px; padding: 0px;] -------Application and Registration. One. You can register using whatever screen name you want as long as you change it to your character's name in similar to 'First Middle Last' as directed by the graphic on the main page header. Two. There is no limit to the number of characters you create as long as you can keep up with it. You must sign in to each of these accounts every time you're on the site. Three. Try to keep some variety with multiple characters, though. Four. Post your application in the correct place and pay attention to the information on where and how to post your applications. Four-B. Post your application with the subject reading: LASTNAME, first middle. Four-C. If your application is incomplete, make a note of it in the subject. Five. You have a week from the day of posting to complete your application. -------Characters. Six. The ages of the characters will be around as follows: Reapers, 27+; everyone else 13 - 26. Seven. Let's try to keep the boy/girl ratio pretty even, people. Eight. Give us some variety with personalities and physical characteristics. I don't want a bunch of little clones running around. Nine. You must PM the admin first before you can have: twin characters. Ten. Try to choose a play-by that resembles the age of your character. I don't want to see Johnny Depp as a fifth year (unless you're willing to only use older photos where he looks young enough, and then you must pm me first). Eleven. Don't get mad if someone has already taken your wanted face claim. If you need help finding another, leave a shout in the C-Box or PM someone. -------Posting. Twelve. Our site requires a minimum of 350 words per post. Period. If it takes you a bit longer to come up with that much, fine, but at least hit minimum word count. Thirteen. Posts must be made in the third person, past tense. Meaning your post should read like: "He wandered down the hall with his hands shoved into his pockets." Fourteen. Posts should not break the pg-13 rating. Fifteen. No Godmodding. Don't know what that is? Check out Caution 2.0 and read up on it. Sixteen. Need help flushing out your post a bit more? Once again, Caution is a great place for that. Seventeen. New threads must include either at the top or bottom of the original post: a brief description about when the thread is taking place (for example, a thread taking place on a Saturday evening in October would say something like: Saturday, October 10th, evening.). Then you must link to it in the timeline thread. This way we can all keep track of what is going on when. -------General. Eighteen. Respect everyone, period. If you don't respect people, there will be a huge issue. You may not agree with everyone, but that's no reason to disrespect them. Nineteen. Listen to the staff members and be courteous with them. They have a lot to do to make the site work for you. Twenty. Never use the words "fag", "nigger", or "dyke" in my c-box. The only exception for those is if you're using "fag" to mean a cigarette, or the correct term for a dyke. Twenty One. Be patient. If you're not patient with the staff, or while waiting for a reply with someone, you might end up upsetting someone, which is not something any of us want. So, if you find yourself waiting, talk to people in the c-box or start/play a forum game, think of plots, plot with a character you wouldn't have, do something, but don't nag. Twenty Two. Do not fight in my C-Box. If you're going to fight with someone, keep it to PM or MSN or something else, but not my C-Box. Twenty Three. Do not judge or get mad at any member for what a character did. I trust you're all mature enough to draw a line between the two. Twenty Four. You must be 13 to join the site. Sorry, kiddos, it's Proboards rules. Twenty Five. This is a pg-13 site, which means: moderate swearing, violence, sexual content are allowed as long as it is not graphic. Anything graphic needs to be done elsewhere. Twenty Six. You may only post in the OOC sections and the c-box until you have been accepted. -------Graphics. Twenty Seven. No graphic may exceed 500 pix in width. Period. Twenty Eight. No nudity or drugs are allowed in any graphics. Twenty Nine. No excessive language, though moderate swearing is fine. Thirty. Basically make sure it falls under the pg-13 guideline. Thirty One. Signatures may be up to 500 pix tall and 500 pix wide. Thirty Two. Icons must be 150x200 pix. No exceptions. If you don't want one, fine; but, if you use one, it must be those dimensions. (Allowed 130-150px in width. But 200px tall is non-negotiable). Thirty Three. Yes, this site has a function that automatically resizes overly large graphics to 500pix wide, (code words: monkeyslut) but do not rely on it. It slows down people with slower connections. Thirty Four.If you don't own a program to resize your graphics, use photobucket or tinypic, both have editing options that allow you to do so, and they're free, or you can put up a request in the OOC section. this table was made by alice, do not steal/edit/use without her permission. as admin, she has the rights to modify these rules at any moment without forewarning. |
