General Description: Niklaus is a heart gentle soul who doesn't believe that harming the innocent is okay. Everyone has a dark side and Niklaus tends to keep his hidden from everyone, even himself at times. He is a fiery spirit who likes to talk to everyone and anyone, with his time in New Haven he has tended to mature and grow with his years, he is an astute listener who enjoys a good story from his patrons at the bar. He has a particularly good memory and remembers small facts that most people over look, this has helped him observe and listen. Overview: TWO PARAGRAPHS. Niklaus was born along with his fraternal twin brother Garen in August of 1905 in Berlin Germany. He had a pretty good life until the world went to hell in a hand basket. He had his brother and ten years later he had his baby sister whom he loved with his whole heart. When Niklaus was about 14 he started experimenting with guys, his best friend at the time and he fooled around underneath his parent's noses. He found that he enjoyed both male and female company and did so in secret since it wasn't favored upon to be a male lover to another male. He fitted into society fairly well.
When the second world war began there was chaos and mayhem, the jews were being rounded up left and right and those who hid them were dealt with severely. Soon it wasn't just jews anymore, it was anyone who wasn't "pure" so Niklaus stopped seeing his male lover/best friend. One night when Niklaus was the bar owned by his family, some SS officers stopped in for a drink. They got pretty rowdy and when Niklaus asked them to settle down one of the SS Officers punched him. Niklaus fell to the ground and when he looked up he saw that the SS Officer was one of his former lovers. When the man realized who Niklaus was he pulled out his gun told Niklaus to get on his knees and beg for his life. When Niklaus refused the man stood behind him and killed him execution style.
When Niklaus woke up and looked around he saw that he wasn't in his bar and he couldn't remember what happened. Thats when he was informed of New Haven and found out that he was a reaper. He traveled back to his past life and retrieved a few things and turned his back on his past life. About a year later his brother arrived to New Haven and they both started a bar together to carry on the traditional family ways even though they would never really be able to pass the tradition down to their sons and daughters. Niklaus still enjoys company of both sexes and his brother is completely accepting of it. They do have a psychic connection after all.
