Another little white lie. Oh my permission to sin, You might have started my reckoning.[style= letter-spacing: 3px]I've got a reason now to bury him alive |
"Mein Schatz, wo bist du gegangen?
[/b]" Tyler sighed softly as he looked around the living room. He had his smaller kitten, Minerva, curled up on his lap as he read, but the other one, Toothless, was missing again. She always seemed to be getting into things. "Bitte nicht kaputt machen." He set aside his book and then Minny, placing her on her favorite cushion on the couch there in the room before getting up to look for the little black terror he had adopted a few months ago. They seemed to really like his place, and Tyler, himself, did. It was big enough for him, and right there on the lake's edge? It was beautiful. He had always wanted a place like that. Once he found Toothless, making sure the little rascal had not actually broken anything again, he glanced at the clock. "Oi, Scheiße, ich bin zu spät![/b]" His voice never broke the softness that he was known for, and he was not sure why he was on a German kick. Maybe it was the music he had been listening to earlier. No matter, he quickly rushed to his bedroom to wash his hands, they smelled like cat, after all, and change into his work clothes. After making sure the cats had plenty of food and water, he left the house, locking it up after him. He might not have needed to, especially with as cold as it was, because not too many people wandered by his house; but, it was better safe than sorry. The drive in to town to his work was fairly short, but that still did not stop him from clocking in almost ten minutes late. Tyler smiled sheepishly at his boss, who was covering the bar until he got there, and apologized softly as he signed into the register behind the bar. Tyler nodded when the guy told him that he owed him, and sighed inaudibly. The man then went around the bar, checking that everyone seated there had what they needed or that he could take an order if they needed something else. He spoke a bit louder than normal to be heard over the noises of the restaurant, but still, his voice was fairly soft compared to others. It was just a part of who he was. When he noticed someone new standing by the bar (whether it was an employee he had not met, or a customer, he was not sure. "Hallo, erm... I mean, hello. Can I help you with something?" Tyler smiled softly at the person, wiping down a water ring left on the bar from an empty glass he picked up, setting in the dirty glass bucket down below the patrons' line of sight. Multi-tasking was something you had to be good at with his job. Otherwise, you would get left behind and upset the customers. Generally, somebody always wanted something, and you could not spend too long conversing with any one customer just so you did not accidentally ignore another customer who needed something from you. The better a multi-tasker you were, the better your tips were; and, let's be honest, a bartender made most of his cash on the tips left. The thing that sucked about Applebee's though, was that tips were shared. Tyler turned to quickly take the order of someone else who was calling for his attention before turning back to the newest addition to the bar area, tilting his head to the right slightly as he waited for some kind of information on who they were or why they were there at the bar.
