General Description: Madison is quite tall- but only if you’re comparing her with other Asians. She’s thin, a little bit too thin if you ask her mother, not that she cares about Madison’s health. She has the generic black hair and almost-black eyes that Asians have but has never thought of dyeing her hair or masking her natural eye colour with contact lenses. Her friends used to call her ‘cute’ and ‘adorable’ but only when she was in their presence did she actually look that way. At home, or without her pals, her face looked so grim no one would dare start a conversation with her.[/blockquote]

~ Being alone
~ Chocolate
~ Being good at something
~ Books
~ Cute, fluffy animals; especially dogs
Dislikes: ~ Losing
~ Being in places with too many people
~ Being disturbed when she’s reading
~ Vegetables
~ Being bossed around
~ Getting scolded, or shouted at, or falsely accused of something
Strengths: ~ Smart. She’s intelligent and sharp but mostly on the academic side.
~ Determined. Stubborn is another way of calling this trait of hers. You can’t get this girl change her views on something she’s adamant about.
~ Kind. She’s actually a very caring girl, she just doesn’t know how to show it well.
Weaknsses: ~ Awkward. She stumbles with words and at social scenes. That’s why she’d rather stay at home.
~ Too highly-strung. Girl needs to give herself a break. Seriously.
~ Doesn’t know when to quit. If you get her going on something you, just try and stop her.
Fears: ~ Failing at life once again
~ That she will amount to nothing in the end
~ That she’ll never truly be loved
General Description: Look at Madison Chong and you’ll probably see a girl who just doesn’t know how to smile or be happy with her life. Truth is, she’s exactly that. She’s quiet and would like to stay that way, thank you very much. Not one to start a conversation, Madison would rather you leave her alone. Even if she were interested to acquaint herself with someone, she honestly wouldn’t know how. It’s a miracle, she thinks, that she even has friends.
Don’t let her serene, mild exterior fool you though, if you provoke her, she will bite back. Just because she likes to spend her time reading and getting more to know about the world but not actively takes part in it doesn’t mean she doesn’t talk back. If you ever get into a fight with Madison, beware, she will rip your head off with bullet-proof facts and won’t let go until you apologise.
In truth, Madison is a kind girl, she just doesn’t quite know how to show it. When she was younger, she was so cheerful, unlike the her now who can be bipolar and mostly annoyed at everything. Intense is a word that you can definitely associate with this girl.[/blockquote]

Father: Matthew Chong
Siblings: None.
Pets: A Jack Russell terrier named Rocky, who is mute.
Other: None.
History: When she was six years old, Madison was told that in the next ten, eleven years of her life, all she had to do was worry about her studies and nothing else. If she could do that properly, she could have anything her little heart desired. Madison, being only six and not knowing much about the verb ‘study’, only nodded and smiled at her parents.
Needless to say, things didn’t start very well for Madison at school. Even then, her parents had ridiculously high expectations of her for her studies. Being Chinese in Malaysia was quite hard in the education department. You had to rake and claw your way up to the top of the food chain or be left behind when the time came to choose your career. There was never any chance for Madison to say ‘princess’ or ‘singer’ when asked about what she wanted to be when she grew up. All she could answer with was doctor, lawyer or any other profession that necessitated at least four years of university. That first year in school was hell for Madison. When she came home with a Maths test with the number 78 in red in one corner, she was berated for an hour. Why? 100 marks was expected of course.
Madison learned fast, though. Remembering the words her parents told her, she made it her mission to get perfect grades in everything, hoping that if she did so, her parents would love her. That didn’t really happen though. Sure, she was praised and complimented on her outstanding results time and time again, but her parents could never even give her the time of day. Instead, she was lavished with gifts and money. Thankfully, she wasn’t spoiled by that. She kept most of the cash and used the rest for books. They were her only salvation, be they fiction or not.
Finally, the time came for the most important exams in her life. She was seventeen and ready to earn A+’s for all eleven subjects she was taking. After the first day of papers, she drove home happy, thinking about how she was going to cram for the next day. Madison was throwing around mathematics equations in her head when a truck collided right into her car. Next thing she knew, Madison was in a place called New Haven, and boy was she confused when they told her she wasn’t sitting for her exam the next day.
But after a few months, she got used to the fact that she was dead. In fact, she was ecstatic that she had gotten a second chance at life. Unfortunately, the girl doesn’t quite know how to live. Madison is back to her old ways despite her parents not being there to nag at her anymore. She was still in high school here despite the fact that she didn’t have to attend. Hopefully someone will come along and teach the girl how to let things go for once. [/blockquote]
