yes i know i'm going to hell in a leather jacket. all i can do now is sing a song of faded glory while you sit there looking great and making me horny. how could you be, be so perfect for me? take all your fears and all your tears and lock them up tight i got your back in this neverending night
[/div]It wasn't a very busy night tonight which was odd for being a Friday night. Perhaps it had something to do with the upcoming holidays. People who were new to New Haven would spend the holidays locked away in their houses, depressed about the loss of their families and traditions that they never really got in to when they were alive but that their parents had tried to push onto them. All the regrets of their former life refarding their families tended to crop up around this time of year. It was something that Reapers had to be aware of simply because they needed to help their charges the most during this time. Phoenix only had one dependant charge this holiday season, which was all well and good in his eyes. He didn't think he could take two melancholy charges at one time. Or more, like his friend Rowa who had three.
Phoenix straightened up his desk in his office once again, it seemed to always be changing arrangement. He supposed once he found something he liked, he'd stick with it for a few days and then change it again. He rose from his chair, moving out of the office and down the hallway past the bathrooms and into the bar itself. The hallway came out right next to the bar, so he simply ducked under the counter and headed towards the only bartender working that night, he'd sent Bri home seeing as how it was so slow. He smiled at Tyler and sat down on one of the few barstools behind the bar for the bartender to relax on when he or she wasn't busy. "How we doing tonight, Ty?" he asked, leaning against the bar himself as he watched the other male.
Tyler was one of Phoenix's charges, his first charge, in fact. But that was a while back. Tyler was independant now, he only checked in with Tyler whenever he could or whenever Tyler needed guidance and came to him. He smiled warmly at the other male, turning his gaze to look around the bar slowly. "Kind of slow tonight isn't it? May close up early if we don't pick up soon..." he stated absently before turning his gaze back to the other male. "What are your plans for next week?" he asked, watching him carefully, wondering if Tyler did have any plans for Christmas or if he was going to be on his own for the holidays. If so, Phoenix would likely invite him back to his own house for the holidays. No one should have to be alone on Christmas if they didn't want to be.
