-------------------- things everyone needs to know
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 554455; border: #886688 solid 4px; width: 490px; padding: 0px;] What is the rating of this site? The rating is pg-13 to comply with the TOS of proboards. More mature things need to be kept to IM or email or some other outside source. Why do you not allow pregnancy? Well, the characters are technically dead. They would not be able to actually have kids. Plus, the kids would only be able to stay in New Haven for so long and that would not be good. For characters who really want to be parents, though, there are always children to adopt. Do you have a character limit? No, as long as you can keep up with all the characters you make, I have no limit. However, you must keep them active. What are the Reapers? The reapers are simply humans who died beyond the "young" cut off, or guardian angels who have been assigned the position. They stay around New Haven to help people adjust and to serve as any needed "authority" figures such as teachers, doctors, etc. Regular Reapers all wear a yellow or rose gold ring with a small scythe etched into it on their left hand. The angel type of Reaper (or an Immortal) wears a white gold or silver ring on the same hand with the same symbol. I want a job not on the claim, what can I do? Well, that's simple. Talk to me, and we'll figure something out. Does my teen have to go to school? If they have not graduated high school yet, then yes. Once they have spent four years in high school (no matter what age they are), they do not have to go to school any longer, nor do they have to go to college. Do the characters age? Nope. They are forever the age they died at, at least physically. Whether or not they age mentally would depend on the character. So, you could have a young woman who is eighteen but has been eighteen for many, many years. Can they get sick/injured? Yes. However, nothing can kill them again because they are already dead. That does not mean that they can't feel pain. What happens when someone arrives at New Haven? Nine times out of ten, they will wake up at the hospital; if not at the hospital, then at the house of their Reaper. Characters aged thirteen through eighteen are put under temporary foster by either their own Reaper, or one that has the time, care until they are old enough to take care of themselves. Characters that are eighteen and older still stay with their Reaper, but they're adults, so they're really just a temporary roommate until the new arrival can afford to live on their own. Younger children (all NPCs) will stay in a home built specifically for them so they can be taken care of, these children can be adopted or fostered by Reapers and anyone over eighteen as long as they prove they are mature enough and a good parenting choice. What happens to new Reapers? New Reapers will be put directly into training (which basically just includes telling them what is and is not allowed, such as relationships between a Reaper and the living), and will more than likely stay with an Immortal until they get into the swing of things and can live on their own. They will learn about going to the mortal world and assisting the human they are to bring over without directly altering their chosen path (which is also forbidden). Do Reapers have powers? The Immortals have the ability to read peoples' thoughts, though any Immortal caught abusing this power will have it striken from them. They have free range when it comes to figuring out if someone is forming an unhealthy relationship to a human, pushing a human to change their chosen path, or figuring out someone's wrong doing. They will never pry into thoughts that do not directly relate to the information they need. Reapers in general have a faster healing rate than anyone else. What is the healing rate? That would depend on the severity of the injury. Normal injuries take about as long as they would if one were alive, whereas injuries that would be fatal might take a bit longer. this table was made by alice, do not steal/edit/use without her permission. faqs subject to change. |
